Thunderstorms over Powys and north Wales could be seen over 100 miles away on Monday evening.
The spectacular light show lit up the skies in mid Wales and as far away in Caerphilly and Telford.
Dozens of photos and videos were posted on social media last night showing the lightening "like a fireworks display".

One Twitter user said: "The flashes of lightning have been relentless here in Welshpool". While another added: "This spectacular lightning I can see is about 90 miles away. It must be pretty epic in mid Wales right now".

Lightning can be seen over 100 miles away. The lightning you can see this evening in Caerphilly is from flashes in Powys! โกโกhttps://t.co/8fVERoQHMs https://t.co/XXkYUFotsr pic.twitter.com/h53g2QzpXQ
