A DRIVER was arrested in Welshpool after a drug swipe came back positive.
Newtown’s Roads Policing Unit (RPU) confirmed an arrest was made in the early hours of Saturday morning on its Twitter page.
Police stopped the vehicle because of the manner of driving.
The tweet read: “Vehicle stopped in Welshpool due to manner of driving, driver arrested for positive drug swipe and passenger dealt with for possession of cannabis.
“Bloods taken, driver now awaits result.”
