Three people have been taken to hospital following a head-on crash between Newtown and Caersws yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to the scene on the A489 at around 2.40pm on Thursday, July 16.
The collision, between a Ford Focus and Nissan Navara, saw two people taken to Bronglais Hopsital with chest injuries. A third person was also taken to Shrewsbury Hospital, Dyfed-Powys Police have said.
The road was blocked, with debris on the highway, and remained closed in both directions until just after 6pm.
The incident is understood to have taken place close to Penstrowed.
