One of Welshpool’s community centre’s will remain closed until September, it has been announced.
The centre on Berriew Lane, known as the COWSHACC, has said that despite the Welsh Government allowing it to reopen this month, it will remain closed until Tuesday, September 1.
Writing on Facebook, 1st Clives Own Welshpool Scout Headquarters & Community Centre said: “Although Welsh Government guidelines state community centres can reopen from Monday, July 20, we have taken the decision to reopen on September 1.
“The time period between now and then will allow us to prepare the building properly and ensure all safety measures are in place.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming all our centre users old and new back again!
“Thank you for the continued support and patience.”
Commenting below the post, Cathy Beech said: “A really wise decision, I cant wait either. Many blessings to all of you there.”
