THE National Trust has re-opened two of its popular locations in Wrexham.

Their sites, Erddig and Chirk Castle, are now open to the public after being closed off since March 22 due to Covid-19 but visitors are required to pre-book before attending.

A statement made via The National Trust website, read: "The garden at Erddig will re-open on July 6 (Monday).

"You'll need to book your tickets by 3pm on the day before your visit.

"Members can book for free, while non-members will need to pay when booking.

"We'll be releasing tickets every Friday.

"Please note we'll be turning people away who arrive and haven't booked.

"Light refreshments and toilets facilities will be available for pre-booked visitors.

"The parkland and car parks at Erddig, Felin Puleston and Sontley Road are open and does not require pre-booking.

"The house, Wolf’s Den, shop and restaurant will remain closed until further notice."

Chirk Castle has re-opened to the public today (July 8), with the garden, estate, Home Farm toilets and kiosk also open.

Similar to Erddig, visitors will need to book their visit in advance and will be turned away if they arrive without a booking.
