LLANIDLOES Football Club will convert their pitch for the hosting of weekly beer gardens.

The JD Cymru North club decided to step up to help the community with the first event scheduled to take place at Victoria Avenue on Saturday, July 18 from 2pm.

The beer gardens will then take place every Saturday.

The club has underlined every precaution will be undertaken with strict adherence to Welsh Government social distancing guidelines.

The club will undertake marking the pitch to help social distancing and will provide hand sanitizer and soaps.

Toilets will also be cleaned regularly.

Organisers will insist on all attendees signing in and being subject to a temperature check with people asked to pre-book.

Alcohol and food will be on sale throughout the day and while cash will be acceptable the club would prefer contactless payment.

A separate area for those attending with their dogs will also be in operation.

A club spokesman said: "These days are open to everyone, please come and enjoy a safe day out in Llanidloes.

"Our aim is to create a great family atmosphere as we look at some sort of normality but public health is paramount."
