Phoenix House in Welshpool has closed its doors as rehabilitation service for women and will reopen early next year as a care home.
A spokesperson from Elysium Healthcare, who run the on Little Henfaes Drive, said: "Phoenix House is changing the service it provides to meet the local need.
"Following discussions with local commissioners we are re-registering it as a care home and expect to reopen it early in 2021."
Phoenix House had described itself as a specialist recovery and rehabilitation service for women in "a homely environment in the heart of the local community". It aimed to "prepare and enable women to move on successfully into the community within identified timescales".
