A WREXHAM football coach will be putting on his best walking shoes to raise funds for his club.
Lee Blake, assistant coach for Rhostyllen Football Club under 12's will walk up the famous mountains in North Wales in a bid to raise £2,000.
Funds will be donated to the club for much-needed kits and equipment.
Lee will cover 30-miles of treacherous terrain over 15 peaks, on foot, in under 24-hours in September this year.
He told the Leader: "With Covid going on and our new season coming up, we need a new kit and will need equipment for the team.
"With that, I'm helping the Under12's out which is my team but if more money is raised we can help more youths so it benefits them all.
"I've been training loads for the event on September 21 and I'm looking forward to it."
The under 12's Rhostyllen football club will also back Lee on the same day by each member of the team walking one mile local in Wrexham and uploading their photo to the teams Facebook page.
