WREXHAM Council has provided residents with an update on wedding ceremonies.

They have stated that the restrictions on conducting wedding and civil partnership ceremonies have been relaxed, so they will be looking at arrangements for facilitating ceremonies for those couples who wish to proceed.

However, they do not currently have any arrangements in place to safely manage the giving of notices or conducting ceremonies at our premises which remain closed.

A spokesperson for Wrexham Council, said: "Our register office does not enable social distancing measures to be applied.

"We are, therefore, reviewing all processes and our own facilities in order to determine how best we can accommodate the wishes of couples who wish to proceed with their wedding.

"Wedding or civil partnership ceremonies are not able to take place in approved premises, such as hotels or heritage sites, at this time, as these are currently closed."
