POLICE have found a body in their search for a missing man.
71-year-old Alan Hurley from Cardigan was reported missing earlier this week, and his vehicle, a maroon Grand Cherokee jeep, was located parked in Aberporth car park.
It is believed to have been parked there for a number of days. Police have now found a body on a beach in Tywyn, believed to be Mr Hurley.
A police spokesman said: “Dyfed-Powys Police can confirm that the body of a male has been found on the beach in Tywyn during the search for Mr Alan Hurley, who had been reported missing.
"Formal identification has not yet taken place, however Mr Hurley’s family have been informed of this development. Our thoughts remain with the family at this time”
