STAFF at a Llanymynech school have moved to allay fears for pupils and parents as they prepare to reopen on Monday.
Ysgol Carreghofa, in Llanymynech, and its Owlets has been a hub for pre-school children throughout lockdown and Libby Williams, from the school, is hoping that this experience will help those who are making their first return.
She says the youngsters under their care throughout have shown no fear about being away from school.
"We have provided care for key worker children from six months to four years old, which has been available seven days a week if required," said Libby.
"Staff have found that the children have been amazing during this time.
"They are aware of how important it is to wash their hands more often and they sing a song 'if you are happy and you know it 'wash your hands' which lasts roughly 20 seconds.
"They talk about the germs with staff but we reassure them and have explain how using tissues, washing hands and giving virtual high fives will help keep us all safe.
"Obviously social distancing is hard at such a young age but by following government guidance, we keep the setting as safe as possible for the children.
"We open our doors on Monday for our children to return but we will keep on offering childcare for keyworker children during the next four weeks.
"So our top tip for parents is try not to worry, it is a more anxious time for you, the children just want to play and have fun."
