A NEW defibrillator is set to be installed in Llandrindod Wells after lockdown.

Llandrindod Wells Town Council announced that it will be installing a defibrillator in the phone box at the Ridgebourne once the lockdown restrictions are lifted.

The town council also noted that a defibrillator cabinet was recently purchased for Llandrindod Church in Wales School Cefnllys to enable it to move its defibrillator to the outside of the building, allowing it to be easier accessed by the community.

Llandrindod Wells Town Council has set aside money within its budget to support local groups with the purchase of 24-hour public access defibrillators within Llandrindod Wells.

Any organisation can apply for grant funding of up to £500 for a public access defibrillator by filling in an application form, which can be found on the town council website www.llandrindod.co.uk
