A SELF-EMPLOYED groundsman died while working in the grounds of a house in Monmouthshire in April, an inquest hearing was told.

But early that afternoon he was found underneath the quad bike by a work colleague.

He was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene and a post mortem examination revealed that he had died of asphyxia.

As Mr Marsden had been at work at the time of his death, Senior Coroner for Gwent Caroline Saunders indicated that a full inquest hearing with a jury will be required.

She adjourned the inquest until August 23, 2021, while inquiries are carried out.
