Ah, our dear friend from Shrewsbury, the Conservative MP Daniel Kawczynski is at it again, attacking Wales and our democracy on Radio Wales and wanting to undermine Wales.

This is a exact repeat of what he did a couple of weeks ago when he wanted to abolish the Welsh Government so he could visit a beach.

It’s obvious he’s ignored a letter from Craig Williams MP who I asked to join me in condemning his colleague.

Then I said: “My attention was drawn today to the comments made by your fellow Conservative MP for Shrewsbury, who has in his traditional style upset many residents in Powys by stating on twitter that he wanted to get rid of the Welsh Assembly because he cannot visit his nearest beach.

He stated; “The current gap emerging over this crisis results in the Prime Minister saying to my constituents you can now go for a walk on the beach, but you are prohibited from going across the frontier to get to our nearest coast.”

He then goes on to demand getting rid of the Welsh Assembly in order that he can visit the beach in future.

The arrogance of the MP for Shrewsbury is beyond belief. Is it any wonder people don’t trust the Conservatives in relation to Wales when such statements are made?

It shows total contempt towards us as people and all so he can go to the beach!

Whatever frustrations he has in these challenging times, the sad fact of the matter is that we are losing loved ones, family members, friends and colleagues and such contemptuous comments by him show total disregard to the genuine concerns of Powys residents.

We will not be bullied by him and his ilk and believe the people of Powys duly deserve the utmost respect.

Those comments stand in light of his further attack on Wales today. The Conservatives need to stop attacking our country, Wales and its people. Stop pretending to be for Wales whilst allowing such comments to continue.
