After confirming the signing of a new manager, St Martins FC has had more good news to celebrate, after securing £2,730 of funding.
The club has been awarded the money through the National Lottery funding from Sport England’s Community Emergency Fund.
It will go towards securing the future of the club during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
Money will allow the club to cover the costs of the final weeks of the 2019/20 season.
Andrew Joseph, club treasurer feels the money will help to keep the club running during what has been an uncertain time.
He said: “This money has ensured the viability of the club for the coming season.
“At a time where there is uncertainty this is a small light at the end of the tunnel.
“We are thankful for the support given to us by Sport England and the Community Emergency Fund and we will ensure that we are best prepared to start again once the crisis is over.”
The club has announced former professional footballer James Etherington as the new manager.
