A TEENAGER was robbed on a footpath along the Basingstoke canal this week, prompting a police appeal for witnesses.

Officers say they are currently investigating a report of a robbery against a teenage boy, which took place on between Malt House Bridge and the Swing Bridge, in Church Crookham, between 3.40pm and 4.15pm on Tuesday.

A member of the public reported witnessing two teenagers approach another boy on a bike, stealing his bag before making off.

The first suspect is described as being dressed in a dark hoodie with a dark coloured facemask. The other is described as wearing a white hoodie with a skull motif facemask.

Officers are asking anyone who was involved in the incident or has any information about what may have happened to call 101, quoting reference 44200187291.
