Two leading members of fitness and fundraising group, Sialens Llanfyllin, have been sourcing and distributing face visors throughout large parts of North Wales.
As part of Sialens Llanfyllin, Rob Williams and Robert Conlin have done numerous challenges over the past 25 years, raising money for a wide range of causes including Cancer Research UK, Llanfyllin Ambulance Station, Hope House, The Lily Foundation and Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Cymru to name just some.
As the group’s challenges usually involve working together as a group, running and walking across the beautiful Welsh countryside, this year’s challenge has not been possible.
Mark Jones, a member of Llanfyllin Sialens and a Wrexham Maelor theatre nurse, congratulated his colleagues.
He said: “During Thursday’s clap I was thinking about all the kindness shown to myself and my colleagues at Wrexham during this challenging time – truly humbling.
“I’d just like to give a big shout out to Rob Williams and Robert Conlin who have clocked up some serious miles distributing visors and other essentials to key workers across Mid and North Wales including us at Wrexham Maelor.”
Meanwhile, a banner was made by Llanfyllin Town Council and Dale Furniss of DF Design to say thanks to staff from the NHS.
