A group of visitors to a North Wales beauty spot have been sent home to Bolton – after asking a police officer for tips on nice places to visit.
The differences in lockdown rules either side of the English border have continued to cause trouble for police officers.
And in the latest incident to highlight the difficulties people are having in grasping the cross-border variations in the rules, a family from Bolton was sent home from Snowdonia after approaching a police officer to ask for tips on sightseeing spots.
North Wales Police's rural crime team revealed the breach on Twitter, writing: "Incredibly one of our team has just been flagged down in Snowdonia by a car containing three persons from Bolton.
"Excuse me officer, can you recommend some nice places for us to visit?
"Yes, there are plenty on your way home. #Frustrating"
