THE makers of a BBC TV show are looking for families from Newtown and other parts of mid Wales to take part in a garden transformation show.

Filming for the next series of Your Home Made Perfect is set to take place this summer, subject to government guidelines.

A spokesman for makers Endemol Shine UK Limited / Remarkable Television said: "It’s often the most overlooked part of the house but it could radically transform the way you live. Do you believe there is huge potential in your plot but you simply can’t see the grass from the trees? Are you ready to take the leap that could transform the way you and your family live?

"BBC Two’s groundbreaking show ‘Your Home Made Perfect’ is branching into the nation’s gardens, and this is your opportunity to take part! Competing designers will immerse you in cutting edge technology to show you awe-inspiring designs for your new garden. And then you get to choose the one you want to build in real-life.

"Do you have an uninspiring backyard, a nightmare front terrace, a problematic patio? Or is there a bigger problem? Perhaps there are issues you can’t fix in your home which could be solved by an ingenious transformation outside? We want to hear from you if you have a budget set aside and a burning desire for change."

The spokesman added: "We are aiming to film in Summer and Autumn 2020. Our activities will follow the government’s coronavirus guidelines, but please bear in mind that participating in the show means that we (and those working on the garden) will need access to participants’ houses and gardens for filming and garden renovation purposes.

"If you are selected to participate, we will discuss practical considerations regarding access and health and safety."

Applicants must be 18 or over and current legal residents of the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man. Any personal information that you provide as part of this process will be used by Endemol Shine UK Limited t/a Remarkable Television to select potential contributors for the project and (if you do take part) in the production, broadcast and exploitation of the project.
