This is the heart-warming moment when NHS staff at Newtown hospital gave a round of applause to a patient who has recovered from the coronavirus.
There was whooping and cheering as the elderly man received a guard of honour on the Bryn Heulog ward as he left to begin his journey home after being released from the Montgomery Infirmary Hospital.
In a video clip, the patient is seen walking along the corridor with a zimmer frame, as nurses are heard shouting "well done".
Powys Teaching Health Board, who shared the video on social media, said: "It is a wonderful feeling when our patients leave hospital after recovering from Covid-19".
The video shows the sense of good-feeling at the hospital in a week in which it was revealed that a number of staff were self-isolating after contracting the virus.
