FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a blaze at a commercial building in Newtown.
A wood lathe at an industrial unit on Pool Road caught fire at around 6pm on Monday.
A spokesman for he Mid Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Newtown and Montgomery attended a fire at a commercial property in Pool Road, Newtown.
"The fire was confined to one industrial unit and extinguished using four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets. The property was also ventilated using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
"The fire originated in a wood lathe."
The spokesman confirmed the crews left the incident shortly before 8pm.
