Flames were seen leaping up the side of a building as Llandrindod Wells firefighters tackled two deliberate blazes in a matter of minutes.
Crews first attended a fire outside a garage lock-up in Arlais Road just after 3.30pm on Thursday afternoon, before they faced another arson attack outside a block of flats in Temple Street just nine minutes later.
Very busy day for the crews at Stn 13.

Crews from Llandrindod Wells and Builth Wells extinguished both fires without them doing significant additional damage, but footage from Temple Street showed the flames leaping three floors up the side of the building.
A timber outbuilding beside the three-storey block of flats had been set alight.
Craig Thomas, head of operational response for Powys Command at Mid and West Wales Fire Service, said: "It was an outbuilding that was well alight. It was down as a deliberate ignition and it is being investigated by Dyfed-Powys Police and fire investigators."
Crews also dealt with a road accident on what was a busy day for the station.
