The Llandrindod Wells Foodbank has thanked people for their continued support as those using the resource more than doubled amid the coronavirus crisis.
“Thank you all for your continued support even in these extraordinary times,” the Trussell Trust foodbank said in a Facebook post.
The foodbank said that since March 1 this year it has seen its user numbers compared to a year ago have soared, and figures show a 118 per cent rise over a year ago.
“However we are still able to help all those who are referred to us”, the Llandrindod food bank said.
If you are able to to donate any food it is now very short of: cereals, tinned tomatoes and biscuits.
There are plenty of cans of baked beans at the moment.
The foodbank is also in need of tinned fruit, fruit juice, tinned soup, tinned potatoes, healthy snack foods, washing up liquid and washing powder.
“Please take care of yourselves and stay safe,” the food bank said.
