A woman was bitten by a dog as she ran down a country lane in Brecon, police have said, as they look to find the owner.

The incident took place on Monday, April 27, at around 10am in the Llanddew and Felinfach area of the town.

The victim ran past a woman walking five dogs when one of the dogs, whose breed is unknown, but was quite big and black and brown, approached her and bit her to the hip causing a puncture wound.

The walker is described as being in her 30s, being around 5ft8 tall and having blonde shoulder length hair. She was wearing jeans and a gilet.

Police would like to speak to her and conduct a risk assessment to make sure no one else gets hurt.
