A small sculpture of two figures has appeared along the canal in Welshpool.

No one knows where it's come from, how long it's been there or who made it, but it's certainly been brightening people's spirits.

Di Davies spotted the sculpture of the two tiny people sat on the edge of the Montgomery Canal last Friday whilst on his evening walk. It can be found under the bridge by Aldi.

He took a picture of the artwork and posted it on the Facebook group Welshpool Community Melting Pot - and people loved it.

"Don't know what the story is behind this but a nice little point of interest on this evening's walk," he said.

Lots of people have been interacting with the post; over 124 have liked or reacted to it and many have left comments too - including people who have also spotted it.

Responding to comment, Di Davies said: "Someone is very talented, it's beautiful."

Tracy Jones said that she would love to know the story behind it and Lisa Davies said it would be nice for the town to put statues all the way along the canal.
