Police officers in Llanfyllin have confirmed they have handed out on-the spot fines after catching people near Lake Vyrnwy.
With the beauty spot out-of-bounds during the government-enforced lockdown, officers confirmed that people travelled from the West Midlands to spend time at the lake.
In a tweet posted on Monday morning, a spokesman said: "While on patrol in the Lake Vyrnwy and Tanat Valley areas last night, officers issued three tickets to persons from the Walsall Area for breaking COVID-19 regulations.
"Please #StayHomeSaveLives #Covid_19."
Police are urging people to stay away from areas while the country is in lockdown.
