Firefighters from Llandrindod Wells Fire Station sang happy birthday outside a care home for their former colleague's 80th birthday.
A video posted by the station on Twitter shows the firefighters standing on the road outside the Wylesfield Care Home in the town yesterday (Sunday, April 26).
This evening the crews from Stn 13 went to Wylesfield care home to sing happy birthday to one of our old colleagues (LFf) Mike Jones who was 80 years young today... Mike Jones, who was unable to have visitors in the home because of restrictions under coronavirus lockdown, retired from the fire brigade 25 years ago.
Netty Nickson, deputy manager of the home, said in a Facebook post: "A huge thank you to Llandrindod Wells Fire Brigade for taking time out to come to Wylesfield Care Home and sing happy birthday to a former colleague. This has made his day complete. Thank you to each and everyone of you."
