A LLANFYLLIN-BASED cleaner has thanked people for donations towards his work keeping the town sanitised during COVID-19.
Matt Saxon, who runs Saxon Clean, is out early to keep surfaces such as handrails clean to help people who are shopping or working, in the town, as well as in Llanfechain.
He has set up a GoFundMe to help with his costs, but he is hoping to spread his work past Llanfyllin and into Oswestry, and thanked everyone for their help.
He said: "I am going to be going out spraying sanitiser on walkways, handles, railings and generally anything anyone touches in such places as our Spar, the doctors surgery and the square.
"I am also and offering this to people who are vulnerable and elderly, to hopefully help prevent the spread of anything. I am offering this free of charge and once a week.
"If you have any elderly or vulnerable friends or family, please let me know and I will do my utmost to get out to them once a week. I’m going to be covering Llanfechain and Llanfyllin.
"This is a free service to try keep us all a little bit safer.
"If you have any friends or family who are elderly or vulnerable and would benefit from this service, please get in touch."
