Three lucky Builth Wells residents are celebrating after winning £1,000 in the People's Postcode Lottery on Easter Monday.

The neighbours living at LD2 3NG in the Parc yr Irfon area were announced as the Daily Prize winners on April 13.

People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners. He said: “Congratulations to our winners! What a great way to start the week, I hope they enjoy their winnings.”

The draw was promoted by Woodland Trust which has received over £13.1 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. It is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity, owning over 1,000 different woods across the country.

The People's Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery which raises money for charities. At least 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to good causes.

Last year, two Newtown postcodes were revealed as a People's Postcode Lottery winner. While in January, nine neighbours in Forden near Welshpool each won £1,000.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can next apply for funding in August
