Comedian and actress Ruby Wax has announced details of a show in Newtown as part of her latest tour.

Tickets have gone on sale for the event at the town's Hafren Theatre, which takes place on Saturday, October 31.

Based on her bestselling book, Ruby's new show How To Be Human answers questions about evolution, thoughts, emotions, the body, addictions, relationships, sex, kids, the future and compassion.

"This show is the follow up to my sell out shows Sane New World and Frazzled and incorporates what I discovered whilst writing my latest book," said Ruby.

"This includes finding out about how the mind works with monk Gelong Thubten and learning from neuroscientist Ash Ranpura, where everything that makes us ‘us’ can be found in the brain."

Meanwhile, Hafren has also announced details of other new shows visiting the venue in the Autumn.

The ELO Show, a tribute to the music of Jeff Lynne and ELO, will take place on Friday, September 18.

An Evening of Burlesque, a new production celebrating the provocative dance form, follows on Saturday, November 7.

Then 80s Live! with live band Electric Dreams performing chart topping anthems from the 1980s, arrives on Thursday, December 17.
