The Cambrian Line between Shrewsbury and Machynlleth has now been reopened in both directions following a safety inspection of the line.
A rail replacement bus service remains in place between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth, and on the Cambrian Coastline between Machynlleth and Pwllheli.
Passengers are still strongly advised to check their journey arrangements before travelling at nationalrail.co.uk or journeycheck.com/tfwrail/ and allow plenty of time to their journey.
