A MAN has been jailed for cross border dwelling burglaries and a number of theft offences across North Powys and Shropshire.
Anthony Moffatt from the Kidderminster area was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court to a total of nine years in prison for his role in a series of dwelling burglaries, vehicle thefts and further thefts in the Llanymynech and West Mercia Police area in 2019.
Moffatt had appeared before the court and pleaded guilty to a number of offences which were committed between June 24 and July 2, 2019.
Powys Commander Ifan Charles said: “I hope this sentence of nine years will send a clear message to criminals that we will take action against those that prey on our communities.
"Officers worked extremely hard to identify the offender and to prepare a comprehensive case of evidence which was brought before the court and resulted in this sentence.”
