RETRO gamers and comic book enthusiasts have a new home in Oswestry with the opening of a new shop.
Time Invaders, in Cross Street had its official grand opening on Saturday, January 25, with plenty gathered to see what geeky delights lay inside.
With the help of some Ewoks, with two Tie Fighter pilots standing guard, husband and wife team Glenn Purvis and Kate Diamond officially cut the ribbon.
The shop is more than just a typical comic shop, as it also features retro arcade machines, a cafe and a 'gamer zone' for card and table top games.
Kate says they moved to Oswestry, after outgrowing their previous home in Shrewsbury.
"It's a comics, modern and retro video game store with things like Pac Man and Space Invaders," said Kate.
"We've been going for four years in Shrewsbury, but now moved to Oswestry. It's a bigger shop, we've got more comics.
"We've had six day olds to a 101 year old come in. We've got comics from the 1920s until present.
"We started really small in Shrewsbury but it's grown and we're really happy to be here in Oswestry."
