A man who entered a river in Newtown is still missing, police say.
A multi-agency search operation continues along the River Severn on Thursday, January 23, after the search was postponed on Wednesday.
Police officers, fire and rescue crews and mountain rescue teams have been looking for a man who was reported to have gone in the river near Broad Street last Friday.
Dyfed-Powys Police, who are leading the search operation, said: “The man’s family has been notified and is being kept informed of developments in the search”.
Brecon Mountain Rescue Team’s swift water technicians, bank search team, kayak search team and drone pilots took part in the search.
Emergency services teams from Newtown, Welshpool, Llanfair Caereinion, Montgomery, Aberystwyth, Hay-on-Wye, Swansea, Carmarthen and Shrewsbury were deployed.
