“Hundreds of music fans in Mid Wales have been left disappointed” after Martin Kemp’s gig in Llandrindod Wells has been cancelled, the Pavilion Mid Wales has said.

Kemp, a TV star and former band member in Spandau Ballet, was due to appear at Pavillion Mid Wales next March in a show promoted by SNG Live & Events for Wales.

The venue has said that despite hundreds of tickets already sold three months ahead of the event, Kemp has dropped Wales to perform at PRYZM Watford on the night of the cancelled gig.

Jase Hawker, managing director of Grand Pavillion Events CIC, which runs Pavilion Mid Wales, said: “We have never had a promoter drop us for another venue. Like Martin’s fans, we are very disappointed. But we would like to reassure anyone who has bought a ticket that they will be able to obtain a full refund at the point of sale.”

Pavillion Mid Wales is a 600 capacity venue that has enjoyed great success in attracting bands and celebrities to the region. See what’s coming up at the Pavilion on its website: www.pavilionmidwales.org.uk
