Nearly 70 Santas participated in this year’s Santa Run at Newbridge-on-Wye after a gap of some six years of holding one.
Setting off from the New Inn car park the Santas came in all ages, shapes and sizes and after a zumba warm up, led by Lucy Wills, they were set off by Jason Forkings as he got those present to do a count down.
They ran a route of nearly four miles around the outskirts of the village finishing up at the Golden Lion public house. Proceeds from the event, once all the sponsorship is in, are to be donated to the Wales Air Ambulance Service. The run was organised by Jan and Jim Jones and their daughter Susan Brown.
The first man back was Stuart Thomas and the first woman back was Linda Westlake. In the juniors the first boy back was James Wagsttaff and the first girl back was Tilly Everton.
