TRADERS are pleased with a new town centre parking scheme, it has been said.
Flintshire Council confirmed that the introduction of a reduced priced permit (£48) for Love Lane Car park in Mold was introduced on November 1.
The authority confirmed applications were restricted to local businesses and those working in the town centre, adding: "
A spokesman said: "The permit was introduced to provide an affordable means of parking for those who regularly park in the town centre while encouraging all day parking away from car parks close to the town centre, leaving proximity spaces available for visitors and shoppers."
Joanna Douglass, business and regeneration officer at Mold Town Council, told the Leader: "This is fantastic that Flintshire Council are recognising the need to support local businesses in Mold.
"I have already received great feedback with happy staff.
"Application forms to apply for the parking permit are available from Flintshire Council."
