NEWTOWN left it late to snatch a 1-0 win at Barry Town United to seal their place in the fourth round of the JD Welsh Cup.

Kieran Mills-Evans slid home the winner with six minutes remaining as the Robins celebrated their second win in as many weeks at Jenner Park.

Meanwhile TNS maintained their goal laden form with a 9-0 annihilation of Wrexham League minnows Mold Alexandra.

Kurtis Byrne led the rout with four goals while Greg Draper struck twice with further goals from Danny Redmond, Blaine Hudson and Kane Lewis completing a one sided clash at Park Hall.

Aberystwyth Town left it late before sealing progress with a 2-1 win at home to Ruthin Town with Wes Baynes netting an 85th winner to cancel an Ilan Hughes leveller for Ruthin after Geoff Kellaway fired the Seasiders ahead.

Elsewhere Guilsfield toiled before slipping to a 2-0 defeat at JD Cymru Premier side Cefn Druids with Iwan Cartwright and Joe Faux goals ensuring the Wrexham side a place in the hat for the next round.

Penrhyncoch's Welsh Cup adventure also came to an end with Jac Rimmer's penalty proving consolation in a 2-1 defeat at home to Prestatyn Town who prevailed thanks to a Dan Davies double.

JD Cymru North

LLANRHAEADR made the long trip to Llangefni Town worthwhile with a 3-0 win in Anglesey.

Goals from Sam Thomas, Matty Williams and Matt Evans earned the villagers a comfortable win on the island to maintain their December revival.

Meanwhile 10 man Llanfair United slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Bangor City who prevailed thanks to a Pavel Viera strike with United playing much of the game with 10 men following the dismissal of Gethin Stephens.

PETER Rees struck twice as Caersws eased to a 5-0 win at Aberaeron.

Goals from Ryan Davies, Mark Edmonson and Tom Goodwin settled the outcome.

Meanwhile Berriew ran riot in a 9-0 drubbing of Tywyn Bryncrug with Richard Davies hitting a hat-trick.

Niall Thomas and Harry Watkins doubles and strikes from Joe Haycock and Xavier Matisse completed the rout.

Bow Street edged a 3-2 win at home to Welshpool Town with goals from Llion Jenkins, Steff Richards and Josh Crowl winning the points for the Magpies.

Max McLaughlin struck twice with Luke Mumford completing the scoring as Kerry won 3-0 at Llandrindod Wells.

Llanidloes Town strengthened their title bid with a 2-0 win at home to Builth Wells courtesy of goals from Connor Bird and Ashley Owen.

Elsewhere Montgomery Town won 3-1 at bottom of the table Llansantffraid with Aled Davies netting twice for the Canaries while Jack Williams also struck with Bryn Jones replying for the Saints,

ABERYSTWYTH University claimed a 2-1 home win over Dyffryn Banw with goals from Adam Gascoigne and Tristan Jackson winning the day for the Students

Adam Putson's free-kick earned Abermule a point in a 1-1 draw at home to Borth United.

Meanwhile Dolgellau celebrated a 3-0 win at home to Forden United while Penparcau were 5-1 winners at Presteigne with Andy Gittins completing a hat-trick and goals from Ryan Edwards and Liam Jacques sealing the spoils.

Elsewhere Jamie Evans scored as Rhayader Town earned a 1-1 draw at Waterloo Rovers.

Boys and Boden Montgomeryshire League Cup

CONRAD Galloway led the scoring as Caersws Reserves completed a 6-4 win at home to Newtown Wanderers.

Galloway netted four goals with Tommy Jones and Kieran Beaton completing the Bluebirds' passage to the third round.
