BBC RADIO Wales will be kicking off Christmas from Llanfair Caereinion.
Star of the Go Compare advert Wynne Evans will be presenting his radio show live from the town centre on Monday, December 9.
Llanfair Caereinion will be hitting the airwaves just days after the townβs Christmas lights were switched on.
The town was chosen as the location of BBC Radio Wales' Christmas launch β the day when the radio station will start playing Christmas music β after Christmas lights committee chairperson Viola E Evans took part in an item on Wynne Evansβ show several weeks ago.
The town councillor invited the opera singer to visit Llanfair Caereinion.
