Tonight (Friday) Caereinion High School headteacher Philip Jones will have the honour of switching on Llanfair Caereinion's Christmas lights at 6.45pm.
There will be a town crier, carol singing, Nativity scene, street entertainment, a parade with the Snow Princess and her attendants, and, of course, a visit from Father Christmas, his elves and reindeers.
Festivities begin at 6pm in the town centre which includes a free fancy dress competition, gift stalls, and grand draw in the Institute. Free admission to the Institute for refreshments, gifts, cakes and flora art stalls, competitions and a grand draw.
