An oil tanker overturned after it collided with temporary traffic lights.
The A458 between Talerddig Road in Llanerfyl and the B4386 at Four Crosses, near Llanfair Caereinion was closed for six hours.
The driver was not hurt in the collision, which happened just before 10am on Monday, December 2.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue crews from Llanfair Caereinion, Llanfyllin, and Welshpool responded to the incident at 10.03am on December 2. A Hazardous Materials Unit from Newtown also attended the crash.
Llanfair Caereinion Fire Station said: "On arrival crews were met by both red diesel and kerosene leaking from the tanker that exceeded the capacity of the Environmental Packs carried on the appliances.
"The Incident Response Unit from Newtown was requested and attended with extra absorbents and specialist equipment.
"The tanker was then righted by Richard Yorke using two heavy recovery trucks."
The road re-opened at 3.55pm with temporary traffic lights.
