Talented tenants at a complex in Oswestry showed off their goods with a Christmas fair on Saturday afternoon.

The group from Ashwood Independent Living in Alexandra Road filled their communal area with stalls selling everything from jams and chutneys, to cakes and knitted items.

They were joined by a handful of local crafters.

Manager Teresa Tudor said it was the second Christmas fair they had hosted after opening in September 2018.

She continued: "Everything raised today will go to the tenants' social fund which we use to put on activities and organise trips.

"We've been to Llandudno, garden centres, had choirs come in to the complex, and organised other entertainment – it's always great, we do everything and anything."

The complex has 53 apartments and eight bungalows with 65 tenants.

Teresa added that there will be a few more Christmas events for the tenants including carol singing, mince pies and mulled win events, and 30 tenants will be sharing Christmas dinner together on December 25.
