A man who fled Hungary and was wanted under a European Arrest Warrant has been found in Builth Wells.
Laszlo Feledi, 42, was wanted in relation to a criminal damage offence nine years ago which he was due to serve 12 months in prison in Hungary.
He fled the country and his whereabouts were unknown until November 13.
A Dyfed-Powys Police officer on mobile patrol in Builth Wells stopped a Mercedes Sprinter van due to the manner of Feledi’s driving.
Checks on the driver showed he was wanted under a European Arrest Warrant.
Feledi was immediately transferred to Westminster Court and placed before the next available judge.
