A weather warning for ice has been issued for Mid and North Wales on Friday.

The Met Office issued a yellow warning on Thursday morning saying temperatures are expected to fall way below freezing.

The warning is in place from midnight to 10am on Friday, November 29.

What to expect

  • Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
  • Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths

The Met Office said: "An area of rain is expected to clear southwards across much of Wales, the Midlands, East Anglia and the south of northern England on Thursday evening.

"Following this surface temperatures are expected to fall way below freezing and following the rain and recent wet weather many surfaces are likely to remain wet leading to icy stretches forming where these not treated."
