A PROLIFIC offender from Anglesey died just two days after being released from prison.
David Valencia, 69, was found dead in his room at Bodffordd, an inquest heard. He had been released from HMP Altcourse, Liverpool, two days earlier.
Coroner Dewi Pritchard Jones concluded at the Caernarfon hearing that Mr Valencia died because of the abuse of drugs.
He said Valencia, a former heroin addict found to have three times the toxic level of methadone in his system, may not have realised on his release from jail that his drug-taking tolerance had changed.
In the past, Mr Valencia had been labelled a "one man crime wave" and "one of Britain's most prolific offenders', having racked up more than 450 offences since 1966.
