A lorry carrying 18 tonnes of acid became stuck on a steep hill in mid Powys.
The 44 tonne heavy goods vehicle broke down on the B4520 between Builth Wells and Llanddewi'r Cwm on Wednesday evening (November 20).
The road was closed for more than four hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.
A recovery team removed the artic lorry and the road re-opened at about 1am on Thursday, November 21.
