A distraught family have paid tribute to an 18-year-old teenager who died following a road collision on Saturday night.
Ellie Bryan, from Aberystwyth, died after the incident that happened at about 10pm on the A487 at Comins Coch.
In a statement released by police, Ellie's family said: "We are distraught by our loss of Ellie. She will be missed by us all.
"Ellie was a loving daughter, sister and granddaughter.
"We would like to thank everyone for their support at this devastating time.
"We would appreciate having time to grieve in privacy."
Ellie was a passenger in a Vauxhall Astra which was involved in the collision. Several casualties were also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Enquiries have revealed the involvement of a third car and the driver of this vehicle - an 18-year-old woman - was arrested.
Police continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information about the collision to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
