THE Oswestry branch of Macmillan Cancer Support held a mini market in the Memorial Hall, Oswestry, recently.
It took place on Saturday, November 9, which was a very snowy morning.
Margery James MBE, has thanked everyone for attending.
“Thanks to everyone who came along and gave us their support,” she said. “We raised £515.71.”
And on Wednesday 13, the group held a quiz at the Spring Lamb pub in Shrewsbury Road.
Mrs James added: “Thanks to Mrs Karen Lennard for the use of her premises and also to our quizmaster Dave Hughes; and Marcus, Nigel and Richard.
“We had 11 tables and the winners were Triple Pearcing who donated their winnings back to the charity. We raised £222.
“The support we receive is always very much appreciated and will be used by Macmillan to help provide the various services that will give benefit to cancer patients.”
