THOUSANDS of pounds have been raised for a lifesaving Mid Wales-based service thanks to residents at a caravan park near Llanfair Caereinion.
Neuadd Bridge Caravan Park presented the Wales Air Ambulance with a cheque for £4,500 which was raised from a number of fundraising events at the site this season.
Andrew Hall collected the donation on behalf of the charity from Brenda Bickley and David Mullen.
Ms Bickley and her team of helpers organised a variety of events which included a ‘mini marathon’, that achieved a total distance of 64 miles, as well as bingo, music nights, raffles, quizzes, beetle drive and an annual charity auction.
The caravan park has so far raised £60,000 for local charities. Montgomeryshire Emergency Doctor Scheme (MEDS) will be the chosen charity for 2020.
