Drop-in sessions are being held across Powys to find new foster carers and adopters.

A string of informal sessions will take place over the next month as part of Powys County Council’s drive to recruit new carers and adopters.

If you could provide a caring and safe environment within your home for local children, teenagers and siblings, then pop and see the team at one of the drop in sessions at:

  • Hafrenydd Community Room, Llanidloes: Tuesday, October 15, 10am - 1pm
  • Builth Wells Community Fair, Wyeside in Builth Wells: Friday, October 18, 11am - 2pm
  • Town Hall, Talgarth: Thursday, October 24, 2 - 4pm
  • Housing office, St Edward's Close, Knighton: Thursday, November 7, 1 - 4pm
  • The Old Shop, Bryny Gog, Machynlleth: Tuesday, November 26, 10am – 1pm

Cllr Rachel Powell, Powys County Council’s Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “If you are passionate about supporting the needs of children and young people, and want to be a part of their life long journey, then please come along to have a chat with our professional and friendly team. You could be the person to make a difference to the lives of local children and young people in Powys.”
